Safe Kids Boot Camp 2009

Safe Kids Boot Camp 2009 was an exciting week! We had some wonderful speakers, guests, mascots, campers and volunteers. Campers heard from a variety of speakers regarding outdoor safety, home safety, vehicle safety, pedestrian safety and bike safety through a variety of activities, games, and videos. They walked away with some great safety devices such as bike helmets, life jackets, smoke alarms, booster seats, water bottles, reflective backpacks and much more!

Thank you to Pathways United Methodist Church for hosting the camp; to St. John's, MoDOT, and the Missouri Safe Kids program for their financial support. Also, thanks to Traffic Safety Alliance, Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Bottling Company, Scrapbook Generation & Kids Directory for their donation of products and services. We were also very excited to have partnered with St. John's College of Nursing at Southwest Baptist University as camp volunteers—they were wonderful!
