What a fantastic time we had a Safe Kids Boot Camp 2007! Over 40 campers participated in our program at the 3 different camp sites across town. Wonderful speakers from area organizations and businesses kept our campers entertained while they were educated about safety and injury prevention. Campers learned about outdoor safety, home safety, vehicle safety, pedestrian safety, and bike safety through interactive games, activities, videos, and crafts in addition to the speakers. Safe Kids member agencies, CoxHealth and St. John's, helped to provide funding for camp which enabled the campers to leave with some great safety devices such as life jackets, bicycle helmets, water bottles and much more.
